Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, based on scientific nursing principles
  • Consult and coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes; report adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
  • Monitor and adjust specialized patient care equipment; interpret and record electronic displays and vital signs; initiate corrective action when adverse symptomatology is observed
  • Initiate and deliver patient and family education plans including post-treatment home care needs; participate in discharge planning
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and assist physicians during examinations and treatments; respond to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocol
Required Qualifications
  • Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license (must be provided at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be provided at time of submission)
  • Ability to occasionally care for pediatric and adolescent patients as needed
  • Willingness and ability to float between two campuses depending on facility census
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience working in a community hospital setting, either in a permanent or contract capacity
  • Previous travel nursing experience
