Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments across a Medical Surgical unit
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
- Provide thorough patient and family education throughout the care continuum
- Apply critical problem-solving skills to address changes in patient condition
- Float to other units as required by facility staffing needs
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-census Medical Surgical environment with patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7
- Demonstrated ability to float and adapt quickly to varying unit environments
