Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director
Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and develop or update individualized plans of care
Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems and perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care
Assess and anticipate discharge needs of patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care or high-risk discharge planning
Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care practices
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
2 or more years of Medical Surgical nursing experience highly preferred
BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
