    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in accordance with standards of care, practice protocols, and established policies and procedures, including safe administration of medications and intravenous therapy.
    • Perform ongoing patient assessments including pain management, cardiac monitoring, and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic results, notifying the physician of changes in a timely manner.
    • Plan and prepare patients and families for discharge, incorporating appropriate support systems and community resources.
    • Provide thorough and accurate documentation of patient data, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses according to established standards.
    • Participate actively in daily multidisciplinary rounds to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care.
    • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment related to surgical patients including traction and orthopedic devices, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and drains.
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • ACLS certification required upon hire.
    • MOAB class required within 60 days of hire.
    • Previous telemetry experience required.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
    • Experience functioning as a preceptor or in a staff education or training capacity.
