Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care within a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility protocols and standards of practice
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring patients for responses and adverse reactions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the facility's electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Alabama or a compact state
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-volume or acute care Medical Surgical environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in hospital settings
