    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Holiday Rotation Required | Weekend Requirement: 3–4 shifts per 4-week schedule

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed mixed neurosurgery and general surgery unit, including patients with and without a stepdown component
    • Manage a patient assignment within a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, subject to staffing conditions
    • Monitor and assess neurological and post-surgical patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
    • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
    • Float within clinical scope to other areas of the facility as needed to meet patient care demands
    • Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during hurricane season (June–November)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact State RN License (SC license must be active prior to start date)
    • Minimum 1 year of registered nursing experience
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Ability to work night shifts including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior neurology or neurosurgery nursing experience
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or experience
