**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (Direct Hire)**Job Specialty:** Nursing**Job Duration:** Not specified**Shift:** Day Shift; 36 hours per week with every 3rd weekend rotation**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week**Experience:** Minimum – Preferred clinical and/or work nursing experience in a hospital setting, particularly in acute and skilled nursing**License:** Current Nebraska State License or Compact License as a Registered Nurse is required**Certifications:** - BLS within 6 months of hire and maintained - ACLS within 6 months of hire and maintained - PALS within 6 months of hire and maintained - ICS 100 and 200 or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire **Must-Have:** Ability to maintain clinical competency for acute care, including age-specific competencies and knowledge of federal and state regulations related to nursing**Job Description:**- Reports directly to an Acute Care Manager and indirectly to House Supervisor and other department managers- Delegates and directs assigned shift caseload teams, possibly comprising LPNs and CNAs- Demonstrates professional knowledge of nursing practice to support patient care delivery- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and provide patient care- Initiates and synthesizes patient data to develop care plans- Executes and delegates therapeutic interventions- Evaluates patient responses and progress toward established outcomes- Includes family and/or significant others in the care of the patient as appropriate- Demonstrates knowledge of risk management, EMTALA regulation, quality review practices, and non-punitive work environment concepts- Participates in staff evaluations, ongoing competency plans, and continued learning opportunities- Acts as a resource and role model for colleagues and students- Maintains documentation according to procedures and ensures confidentiality of patient information- Assumes responsibility in a shared or delegated assignment and supports team members through communication**Physical Demands:**- Must meet physical demands such as lifting, walking, bending, standing, sitting, driving, and other activities as specified**Benefits:**- Cost share for health insurance- Employer-paid life insurance, AD&D, and LTD based on yearly gross salary- Employer-matched retirement plan after one year of service- Hospital employee discount on services received
