Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12 (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Care for med/surg and post-operative surgery patients with a focus on quality and compassionate outcomes
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units as needed based on house staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient management

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical, Orthopedic, or Post-Operative nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong time management skills in a fast-paced med/surg environment
• Friendly, compassionate demeanor with a sense of urgency and a willingness to take on challenging situations
