    Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (2 Medical Unit)

    Location

    Birmingham, Alabama

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care to a general medicine population on a 24-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
    • Accurately administer medications using Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) protocols
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Cerner EMR
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
    • Float to other units within the acute care division as needed
    • Maintain compliance with dress code standards, including TJC and CMS nail and footwear guidelines
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current NIHSS certification
    • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
    • Experience with BCMA medication administration
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Strong time management skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
    • Professional, adaptable, and patient-centered approach to care with a commitment to established processes
