Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, managing a diverse mix of medical patients across night shifts
• Work within an Observation/ER Overflow unit focused on constant reassessment of patient readiness for discharge, supporting rapid admission and discharge cycles
• Maintain safe and effective care within staffing ratios of 1:5–6 patients at night, with ratios potentially flexing to 1:8 when paired with LPN support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs to deliver quality patient outcomes
• Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed; travelers are first to float
• Work every other weekend and provide coverage during holidays, with flexibility to accommodate staffing demands

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Willingness to float to other Med Surg units and work with a variety of clinical staff
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and provide holiday coverage
• Supervisor-level references required

• Travel nursing experience is highly preferred; candidates with strong permanent staff experience will also be considered
• Experience in an Observation or ER Overflow setting with high patient throughput
• Familiarity with rapid admission and discharge workflows
