Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric Med-Surg population across a range of medical-surgical diagnoses
- Manage and monitor patients on isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, and chest tubes
- Perform IV starts, PICC line management, blood product administration, and feeding tube care and management
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 within a 32-room unit with an average daily census of 29
- Document and communicate patient information using Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR protocols
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR
- Ability to work every other weekend as scheduled
- All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or post-start
Preferred Experience / Skills- Charge RN experience strongly preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
- Familiarity with a high-census, fast-paced inpatient unit environment
