Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within a Med-Surg Float Pool setting at a large academic medical center
- Float to various medical-surgical units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital (candidates with 1 year of experience must pass a competency assessment)
- Candidates with 1 year of experience must complete a competency test within 24 hours of submission
- Navy blue scrubs required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of Med-Surg experience in a large academic hospital setting
- Prior float pool experience across multiple medical-surgical units
- Strong adaptability and ability to acclimate quickly to new unit environments
