Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 (up to 1:6)
- Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a dedicated monitoring unit
- Collaborate with CNA support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Float as needed to acute care, cardiology, and EC units to manage patient holds
- Participate in general orientation (approximately one week, including EMR training) and floor-specific orientation (two days)
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Meditech EMR system
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Medical Surgical setting
