Description:
Must sign for 4x12s per week.
Ratio of patients is 4:1 for days and 5:1 for all other shifts.
First-time travelers accepted.
Every third weekend is required.
Not on-call.
Clinicians will float within their scope to meet facility needs.
Not open to accommodating block schedule.
Locals are not accepted; candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility.
No restrictions on requested time off (RTO), but it must not exceed 7 days.
Special requirements include passing the EKG exam.
Special equipment includes Alaris pumps, CPAPs, BIPPAPs, bladder scanners, lifts, hover mats, EKGs, and scales.
Patient diagnoses include acute care patients with infections, renal, cardiac, pulmonary, oncology, orthopedic, bariatric, pre-transplant, observation, psychology, long stay, and COVID.
Our patients may stay in the unit for just a few hours or up to a day depending on bed availability, especially during high census periods.
Nurses will work with a variety of patients in one shift due to high patient turnover.
Nurses receive additional required training to enable them to care for diverse conditions.
Be prepared to learn new and challenging skills.
Daily patient census is projected at around 22 patients, with an average of 7 visits per day.
Unit consists of 17 rooms and 27 beds.
Support staff available includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary.
All travelers will float within service lines as needed.
Candidates must finalize all requested time off before submission.
Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different assignment are not allowed.
Facilities require completion of necessary labs within 48-72 hours of contract signing.
Modules are required for RNs and must be completed before starting the position.
