Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care for a travel assignment in New York, NY. This role requires a professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced hospital environment, proficient in EMR systems and core nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities of the Level 2 RN MED SURG
  • Develop a patient care plan by interviewing patients, reviewing health records, and determining care needed, including discharge planning.
  • Initiate emergency measures when physicians are unavailable, including resuscitative actions in cases of cardiac or respiratory arrest.
  • Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed to manage hemodynamic and respiratory status.
  • Teach patients and families on preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures.
  • Record observations, interventions, and therapeutic measures, coordinating with other disciplines as necessary.
  • Evaluate patient progress towards outcomes and modify care plans as needed.
  • Document health care requirements and assign tasks to team members based on skills and care needs.
  • Provide oversight and technical guidance to nursing staff and unlicensed personnel.
  • Maintain unit supplies, equipment, and ensure a safe environment.
  • Promote professional growth and maintain nursing practice knowledge.
  • Exhibit leadership and adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards.

Requirements of the Level 2 RN MED SURG
  • RN License
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar setting
  • Experience with EPIC EMR system
  • Experience with tracheostomy and ventilators
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Must work every other weekend and holidays
  • Scrubs: Ciel Blue
