Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of six months to three years of nursing experience License: Current RN License in Client Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Apex Innovations) Must-Have: - Critical care/ICU level experience required - Experience with vents and vasoactive drips, sedative drips Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN prevents illness and injury and alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a key responsibility. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. This includes alignment with the Nurse Practice Act, policies, and standards of practice. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities include: Assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Managing a group of patients and serving as the primary or accountable nurse as designated. Educating patients and families in health promotion and disease management. Utilizing a working knowledge of pharmacology to administer medications safely. Sharing in responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. Complying with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. Actively participating in and supporting professional governance models. Engaging in professional development and completing all mandatory education requirements. Integrating research and current evidence into nursing practice.
