Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Medical Surgical License: Must hold a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 6 - Experience with Epic charting system - Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management - Blood product administration - Chest tube management - Colostomy/Ileostomy management - Feeding tube care and management - Pre/Post Hemodialysis management - Spinal cord injury care - IV start and maintenance Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit. This position requires working night shifts. The nurse will have the option of working 36 or 48 hours per week. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience. The unit welcomes first-time travelers. Floating to other like units may be required based on facility needs. Weekends may be needed as part of the schedule. Patient diagnoses will include stroke patients and surgery patients. Telemetry central monitoring is available 24/7. The nurse will not need to interpret dysrhythmias. Any scrub color without logos is acceptable. All candidates must possess BLS certification. Additional skills required include isolation precautions and wound care.
