Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 1:5 Description: Position will float between units. Weekends are required: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Block schedules are not required. The expected patient ratio is 1:5. Epic Hardstop experience is required. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds. It is a Level II trauma center. The dress code for licensed nursing personnel is solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire. Unlicensed personnel must wear solid hunter green colored uniforms or scrub attire. Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces. The patient age groups served are adults and geriatrics. This position requires strong clinical skills in various areas, including Bariatric surgery, BiPAP/CPAP management, and wound care. Previous trauma unit experience is preferred. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Communication devices will be provided as needed to perform job duties. References will be required covering the last year of employment. Inflexibility regarding the contracted schedule may lead to termination of the contract. Post-submission requests may not be considered or granted.
