Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 1:5-7 Description: This position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse working night shifts. The nurse will work 4x12 or 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00-07:30. The unit has a 34-bed capacity and provides telemetry services. Patient ratios are typically 1:5-7. The nurse will be responsible for managing a diverse group of adult patients with various acute medical conditions. Candidates must have experience with managing telemetry patients and performing skills such as BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and PICC line management. Isolation precautions and wound care are also essential skills required for this role. The nurse will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team including various support services. Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary for effective patient care. This role requires the ability to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality care standards. Flexibility and reliability are critical, as attendance issues have been noted in recent contracts.
