Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. This role ensures that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe patient care. The nurse practices in a clinical environment managed by nurse managers and supported through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies stem from these models and are supported by core values.
