Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Compact license accepted Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Patient Ratio Experience: 6 Charting System Experience using Epic Description: Seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for night shifts. Option for 36 or 48 hours per week. 2 years of experience preferred. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Floating between units is required. Every other weekend availability is necessary. Skills needed include: accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management/care, feeding tube care and management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), insulin management, isolation precautions, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, wound care/wound vac, and telemetry monitoring (both unit and remote). Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 24 patients with a total of 30 beds in the unit. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy, among others.
