Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Recent experience with EPIC (within the last 6 months) - Experience in Medical Surgical, Orthopedic, and Neurology patient populations - Telemetry monitoring experience Description: This position is for an Orthopedic and Neurology unit. The unit has 35 beds and provides care for a diverse patient population. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:6. The role requires floating to units of equal or lesser acuity. There will be options for day or night shifts as well as 36 or 48-hour workweeks. First-time travelers are accepted. There is support from patient care technicians and transporters available. A charge nurse will float free across the unit. The department benefits from interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services. The candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. Experience in wound care and management of mood disorders, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery care is preferred. The facility promotes a collaborative environment for patient care.
