Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months Med Surg care experience required License: State of Iowa RN license verification required Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; NIH Stroke Scale certificate highly preferred Must-Have: - Experience administering heparin required - Experience administering cardizem required - Experience administering amiodarone required - Experience caring for neurology patients required - Minimum of 18 months nursing experience in a hospital or medical center setting Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. Candidates will receive a phone call or text. Must be within a local radius of 50 miles. Any past employee, whether FTE or PRN, cannot work travel in another market for 12 months. If they worked travel, the separation policy does not apply. Contractor is required to work during holidays unless the unit is closed. Will float between Med Surg and Stepdown units. The unit is the designated stroke unit. EPIC EMR experience is required. First-time travelers are welcome. Work history should include 24 months of current Med Surg, medical surgical, oncology, or neurology experience. Skills checklist must be specific to the discipline listed. Professional references must be from a charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO from within 24 months of today's date. Driver's license is required. Candidates must possess current BLS certification. NIH Stroke Scale certificate can be obtained during onboarding.
