The nurse will work with neurology, neurosurgery, and stroke patients. This is a Magnet designated, level 1 trauma and certified stroke center. The position involves pre- and post-operative spine surgeries and craniotomies. Admissions will come from home, clinic, emergency department, and transfers from step-down units and ICU. The nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs as necessary. Off-site telemetry monitoring will be utilized with telemetry technicians. The daily patient ratio is expected to be 1:4-5. All nurses must complete required certifications to ensure compliance. No more than 7 days of requested time off will be accepted during the assignment. Experience in Level I/Teaching facilities is preferred but not required.
