Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 5 years License: MO or compact required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS Must-Have: Will need to pass an EKG exam. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required. Experience with Med/Surg, blood product administration, and peripheral line care/management. Experience with starting IVs, insulin administration, PCA, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and orthopedic trauma. Experience with total joint replacements, surgical drains, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen therapy, and isolation precautions. Wound care and wound vac experience required. Experience managing geriatric trauma patients. Description: The position requires an experienced registered nurse specializing in medical surgical care. The nurse will work night shifts, with a focus on trauma and acute care surgery patients. Patient ratios on the unit will be 1:4-6. The nurse will be responsible for administering medications, managing patient care, and providing support for diverse patient needs. Knowledge in monitoring and interpreting vital signs is essential.
