Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele- Provide care for patients with hip, knee, shoulder, bariatric, and spinal surgeries
- Administer cardiac and insulin drips, manage chest tubes and wound vacs
- Monitor telemetry and provide complex clinical assessments
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and oversee discharge planning
- Engage in patient education, emphasizing renal and fluid management
- Utilize EMR: EPIC and operate unit-specific equipment, including Pyxis and Alaris
Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele- BLS required
- Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) and EKG competency required
- Minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
- ACLS preferred
- National certification in Medical-Surgical or Nephrology nursing preferred, but not required
