Description:
This position involves providing care to patients in a medical/surgical environment.
The patient ratio during day shifts is 1:4-5.
The patient ratio during evening shifts is 1:4-6.
The patient ratio during overnight shifts is 1:6.
Patient types include oncology patients, surgical patients, and those with conditions such as cellulitis, GI bleeds, and CHF.
Covid/TB patients may also be part of your caseload.
There is no need for chemo certification.
Support staff includes CNAs, charge nurses, and a hospitalist team available 24/7.
Phlebotomy services are available, and RNs will perform draws from central lines.
The charting system used is Epic.
Floating to other units may be required.
Weekend rotations will be expected.
Holiday shifts will be part of the schedule every other holiday.
Scrub colors must be professional.
Experience with centralized telemetry is beneficial.
