Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 1+ Years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in Medical Surgical Intensive Care - Ability to float as needed Description: The role requires a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. The unit consists of a combination of ICU and step-down beds. Patient ratios in the ICU are typically 1:2-3, depending on acuity, and 1:4 in step-down. A monitor technician is available 24/7 to assist with patient monitoring. Patient care technicians are utilized as needed based on census. Sitter services are also available if there is a need. Bedside monitors are utilized for both ICU and step-down patients. The position involves care for a variety of patient conditions. A commitment to high-quality patient care is essential.
