Job Title: Registered NurseProfession: NursingSpecialty: Medical SurgicalDuration: 13 weeksShift: NightHours per Shift: 12 hoursExperience: Minimum 2 years acute care experienceLicense: Compact or state license requiredCertifications: ACLS, BLSMust-Have:- Renal experience preferred- Previous charge experience preferred- Patient ratios experienced in acute careDescription:This position requires working with adult and geriatric patients.You will manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, end stage renal disease, diabetes, COVID-19, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbations, wound infections, peripheral vascular disease, gastrointestinal bleeds, and general medical/surgical diagnoses.Responsibilities include providing care to renal patients requiring dialysis and performing general surgical procedures such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy, wound debridements, and dialysis access placements.You will use special equipment such as remote telemetry monitoring, wound vacs, and peritoneal dialysis systems.Expect to float as needed to provide patient care.The patient to nurse ratio is 6:1 on days, nights, and weekends.Interdisciplinary support is available from various services, including physical therapy and pharmacy.All candidates must meet the requirement of being more than 65 miles from the facility.Candidates should not apply if they are not comfortable with being assigned to an emergency team if needed.This role requires adhering to isolation precautions and maintaining infection control protocols.All candidates must have current NURSYS reports and AHA certifications prior to commencing the position.Team members must be adaptable to changing circumstances and emergencies within the unit.
