Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Nephrology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS (must be AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Med/Surg experience is required. Nephrology experience is preferred but not required. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in nephrology. Nurses will provide care to geriatric and adult patients. The unit primarily deals with common diagnoses such as End-Stage Renal Disease, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Hemodialysis. The staffing ratio is typically 1:4 to 1:6 patients per nurse. The workplace is equipped with various medical devices such as vital sign machines, bladder scanners, lifts, thermal imaging, and IV pumps/tubes. Experience in an observation unit is a plus. Candidates should possess a minimum overall rating of 3.2 on the skills checklist. Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required.
