Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med Surg in a Hospital Setting License: Must have license in hand at time of submission Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Minimum 2 years experience in Med Surg Description: The unit consists of 27 beds. Staff includes 5-6 Registered Nurses and 2-3 Licensed Nursing Assistants. The typical day shift team includes a Charge RN, RNs, LNAs, and a Unit Coordinator (Monday-Friday). The night shift team includes a Charge RN, RNs, and 2-3 LNAs. Patient ratios are approximately 5-6:1. Commonly used equipment includes Hoyer lifts, Continuous Passive Motion machines, and an EMR system. The unit specializes in orthopedic surgery including knees, hips, shoulders, and cervical procedures, as well as bariatric surgery. Candidates must work collaboratively with team members and maintain a patient-focused approach. This position requires flexibility in scheduling with 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
