Description:
Unit has a strict 75-mile radius requirement for applicants.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is required.
The unit has 44 beds and 40 staff members.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights.
Electronic Medical Record system used is Meditech; experience preferred but not required.
Certified Nursing Assistants are available with a ratio of 1:8, generally 1:10.
Weekend work is required every other week, and holidays are as needed.
Scrubs are Caribbean Blue.
Floating may occur to other acute care units.
General orientation is one week, with two days of floor-specific orientation.
The population is approximately 80,000, with surrounding major cities nearby.
