Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel
  • Time management and efficiency in a fast-paced unit
  • Team collaboration
  • Maintenance of post-op surgical procedure sites
  • Wound care, including wound vac maintenance and dressing changes
  • Foley Catheter care - continuous bladder irrigation
  • Ostomy appliance changes and maintenance
  • Nasogastric tube insertion and suction
  • Administering TPN and blood
  • Central line care and dressing changes
  • Conducting bedside shift reports

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in post-op surgical areas preferred
  • Proficient in Meditech EMR
