Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment when providing care. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients’ health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops plans that prescribe interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements care plans and coordinates delivery of care. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining patient outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations.
