Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg
  • Manage patients with orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, trauma, and vascular surgery needs.
  • Conduct general post-surgical care including incision care, chest tubes, wound care, and mobility education.
  • Coordinate patient care with CNA support and act as a mentor as required.
  • Utilize hospital resources like Remote Telemetry monitoring and the BERT Behavioral Response Team as needed.

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg
  • 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
  • Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR, BD Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
