The position requires 12-hour shifts. The schedule includes three 12-hour day shifts per week, some weekends. Candidates must have at least two years of Med Surgical experience. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. When applying, please ensure you have housing secured. Previous travelers have had difficulties finding affordable housing. Experience with telemetry is preferred but not required. The unit includes a total of 39 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. Basic telemetry knowledge is a plus. ACLS and NIHSS certifications can be acquired during the placement process if needed. The charting system used is Meditech, and the medication system is McKesson. Travelers may float to Med Surg units within their scope of practice as needed. Scrub colors are royal blue, which are not provided. Please be aware that there may be occasional shift cancellations.
