General Information
Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds : Ortho has 30 beds, Med Surg has 37
· Patient Ratios : Usually 6:1
· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : We utilize PCTs and SNE's in our tech role, and we have a US during the day shift hours.
· Type of equipment :
· Documentation system: Meditech
· Scheduling requirements: Schedules are in a month increment (4 weeks), full time must work 4 weekend shifts (ex: 3 Saturdays and 1 Sunday, etc.).
· Floating policy: We float to inpatient units to take patients, float with tasks in CCU and ED
· Patient Experience requirements: All levels welcome to apply
Hospital Specifics-
· Certifications: BLS
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set: RN, LPN, PCT
Must have: Positive attitude, be willing to work hard, manage a patient load, utilize team work strategies and utmost provide patient centered patient care.
Advanced skills needed:
Procedures performed on unit: Some MD's will do bedside procedures, not as common as in CCU/ED
Certifications Required: BLS
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
· Scrub top, scrub bottoms, no fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweaters. Long sleeve shirt under srub top or scrub jacket is permitted. No shoes with holes. No denim, no camo.
