Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Cares for a diverse patient population. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. Supported by healthcare assistants and a unit coordinator. Utilization of virtual monitoring and techs for telemetry patients available. Responsible for working up to six weekend shifts and holidays based on department needs.
