Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; first timers accepted License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical/surgical setting - Current RN license in South Carolina - BLS certification Description: The position involves working in a mixed bed neurosurgery and general surgery unit. The nurse will serve a variety of patients with or without a stepdown component. The ratio of nurses to patients is 1:5, depending on staffing. The role requires providing care during night shifts, specifically from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. A holiday rotation is included in the schedule. Weekend shifts of 3-4 are required within a 4-week schedule. Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs. Candidates with neuro experience are preferred, but not mandatory. All nurses are expected to adhere to isolation precautions and use appropriate PPE. Experience with computerized documentation is necessary. This role may involve managing patients post-neurosurgery. The facility provides interdisciplinary support, including various therapy and service teams. Nurses will be part of a collaborative team environment focused on patient care.
