Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred, will accept 1 year License: RN Idaho license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (within 12 months of hire) Must-Have: Experience with Epic charting system required Travel experience preferred Description: Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process for patients in the following age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics. Documents thoroughly as care is delivered, following regulatory and hospital requirements. Assumes responsibility for clinical competencies and professional development of self and others. Practices in a clinical environment through application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Ability to work varied shifts and/or days, including weekends and holidays. Utilizes good judgment and demonstrates patience. Follows best practices for patient care as expected by department leaders. Maintains a professional demeanor at all times. Able to work in a busy, stressful environment where practice may change to meet new patient safety requirements, goals, or objectives. Possesses computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records software. Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage workload expectations. Exhibits interpersonal verbal communication and advanced math skills. Engages in creativity, problem analysis, teamwork, and decision-making.
