Type of staff:
- Day Shift –1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs, and unit secretary when grid allows
- Night Shift – 1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs
Patient Ratios – 5:1 (Med Surg Specialty 4 th Floor). 6:1 (Med Surg 5 th Floor)
Type of equipment – remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, dynamaps
EMR –Alterra (Allscripts)

Telemetry experience

Cardiac recognition, IV starts
Time management

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

All abdominal: chole, appy, colectomy, diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart caths, run offs
Gastric sleeves, total hip, knee and shoulder replacements. Ortho trauma repairs (fractures)

Best personality Fit:

Team oriented, positive and flexible.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

ACLS, BLS, NIHS

Floating Area(s):

Mandatory Float as needed: Inpatient rehab, ED, PCU. Will not be given an assignment outside of skill level or scope.

Dress Code :

Scrub Color/Attire - Currently wear black scrubs but will be moving to Medical City Blue

Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.

Weekends and On call(if any)

Weekend shifts are required. No on call. Will push back per the attendance policy.
