Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry
LocationReno, Nevada
Schedule / Job TypeContract (Travel) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week guaranteed
Key Responsibilities- Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
- Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating knowledge of cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the patient population served
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, identifying and measuring cardiac rhythms accurately
- Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
- Float to other units as needed, up to personal competency level, based on organizational needs
- Maintain compliance with unit and department age-specific competency standards and quality measures
Required Qualifications- Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identification and measurement of telemetry rhythm strips
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-volume or Level II Trauma Center environment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying schedules including weekends, holidays, and call shifts
