Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Onsite | Nights | 3x12 shifts | 36 hours per week guaranteed

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
  • Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served
  • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
  • Float to other units within the organization up to competency level as department needs require
  • Maintain continuous mental effort to ensure safe patient care and sound clinical judgment in all interactions and decision-making
Required Qualifications
  • Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of telemetry rhythm strips
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume or Level II Trauma Center environment
  • Familiarity with complex cardiac and medical-surgical patient populations
