    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Location

    Philadelphia, PA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care for assigned patients across Cardiac Telemetry, Medical/Surgical Telemetry, and Surgical Telemetry units
    • Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and execute individualized care plans using the nursing process
    • Provide and monitor care for stroke patients and patients on cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, and Cardizem
    • Direct and supervise nursing support staff in the delivery of patient care in accordance with standards of practice and departmental policies
    • Float to assigned units as needed; adhere to weekend rotation (every other weekend) and applicable holiday requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry settings
    • Prior travel nursing experience required
    • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    • Experience with stroke patient care and management of cardiac drip protocols
    • Familiarity with high-acuity telemetry environments and variable patient ratios (4–5:1)
