Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week options available | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units within a large, acute-care hospital setting
- Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned floors
- Float within scope to various units and potentially to a sister campus location to meet staffing needs
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation using EPIC electronic health records
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements (Friday night and Saturday night for night shift) and work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
Required Qualifications
- Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting required
- Ability to manage IV drips independently
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification strongly preferred
- Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
- Background in specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Orthopedics, or Solid Organ Transplant
