Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 13 or 26-Week Contract Options | 36 or 48-Hour Weekly Options Available
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units, including specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Ortho, Transplant, and Observation
- Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned floors
- Float within scope of practice to various units across the health system to meet staffing needs, including a potential sister campus location approximately 16 minutes away
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
- Fulfill weekend and holiday shift requirements as outlined by the facility
Required Qualifications- Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
- BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
- IV drip management experience required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
- ACLS certification
- Background in specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, or Transplant nursing
