Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required, subject to change based on unit need
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit
- Perform and assist with bedside procedures including dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D)
- Care for post-heart catheterization patients
- Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
- Float to similar units as needed based on census demands
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
- Minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to complete required pre-assignment modules and testing within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with post-heart catheterization patient care
- Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
- First-time travelers will be considered based on overall clinical experience
