    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekends Every Other Weekend as Needed

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, including patients with cardiac disease, stroke, joint replacements, respiratory conditions, and peritoneal dialysis needs
    • Care for post-operative patients transitioning from ICU, including stable open heart surgery patients
    • Float to other Medical Surgical floors and potentially rehabilitation units as needed; may assist on additional units in a support capacity
    • Participate in patient education initiatives in collaboration with program coordinators for conditions such as CHF and stroke
    • Complete pre-start orientation modules and required facility compliance training prior to start date
    • May provide care for COVID-positive patients in accordance with facility protocols
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with no license hits accepted
    • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
    • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
    • Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
    • Willingness to adhere to a tobacco-free and fragrance-free workplace policy
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
    • Background in post-operative care or rehabilitation nursing
    • Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis patient care
