Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every 3rd Weekend | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with diagnoses including CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, and generalized debility
  • Perform medication reconciliation, interpretation of laboratory results, and thorough patient health assessments including vital signs and allergy history
  • Conduct and assist with clinical procedures including dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup, phlebotomy, specimen collection and labeling, and urinalysis
  • Manage patient care at a 1:6 ratio within an inpatient rehabilitation department serving post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical patients
  • Float between facility campuses as needed per assignment requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience – first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
  • Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed; study materials are not provided)
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility location – proof of address via current driver's license required at submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in acute care rehabilitation nursing
  • Familiarity with care for post-stroke, post-surgical, and neurologically complex patient populations
