Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry
LocationCanton, OH
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
- Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday as required
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification in hand at time of submission
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start date
- Demonstrated Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- 18 months of combined permanent experience within a single Med/Surg Telemetry location
- Prior travel nursing experience with familiarity completing pre-start compliance modules
- One verifiable professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from within the past 12 months
